Gabriella Davies

After passing all her Chartered Management Accountant exams first time, her finals being in 2004, Gabriella took up the position of Operational Finance Manager (Europe) for American hospitality corporation Wyndham Worldwide, where she successfully led a large team through a period of change. Achievements included creating and leading a multi-lingual credit control team resulting in substantial debt reductions and improvements in invoicing and controls to identify and reduce gaps in revenue.

Gabriella then moved into the role of Group Reporting Manager responsible for cross border consolidation of multiple subsidiary entities across EMEA and India which involved extensive overseas travel during which time she led cost saving initiatives through centralisation of shared service finance teams. Gabriella moved into the healthcare sector in 2013 when she joined St. Andrew’s group, a leading UK inpatient mental health organisation operating a number of residential hospitals where, initially as Head of Financial Accounts and then as Financial Controller, she managed a large team responsible for financial reporting, management reporting, treasury, operational finance (including accounts receivable and accounts payable), and controls.

She maintained consistently high staff engagement scores whilst specific projects whilst in post included planning and implementation of SAP a leading ERP system, the creation and development of cash-flow forecasting models, refinancing the Charity’s £75m revolving credit facility and tax saving initiatives on new build projects in the region of £10m. Gabriella joined Halcyon as CFO in March 2020 whilst undertaking an Executive MBA at Cranfield University which she completed in December 2020. She has responsibility for overseeing the group finance function and the creation and delivery of quality information across the group’s internal and external stakeholders.
