Our Care

Our approach to care

Our spacious en-suite rooms, tastefully decorated communal spaces, accessible gardens, full-screen cinema room and hair salons give residents the freedom to be as independent as they wish. We also have a full calendar of activities and trips out to let our residents enjoy busy and fulfilling lives.

All of our care home buildings have all been thoughtfully designed to allow residents living with dementia to be monitored safely without this ever becoming intrusive.

Our homes also include a number of features designed to stimulate and prompt the attention and interaction of residents living with dementia.

Residential Care

Residential Care

Residential care can be an ideal option for those people who could benefit from a bit of extra support and security in their lives. When staff are on hand to help with everyday tasks, worries about dealing with personal care, reduced mobility, general frailty and isolation are all reduced.
We understand that the more we know about our residents, the better we can care for them. To help our caring and friendly staff with this, we use technology throughout our care homes. Our computerised care planning system allows us to develop a personalised care plan for every resident that includes their hobbies and interests as well as medical needs. In this way, we can help meet the needs of everyone.
Dementia Care

Dementia Care

Residents living with dementia can sometimes find it hard to communicate what they need. Our approach of treating each resident as an individual is backed by our qualified staff, who work tirelessly to help them.
We support residents living with dementia so that they can live life to the fullest. Our care homes provide them with a safe environment for our residents which, in turn, gives peace of mind to their friends, families and loved ones. Since it is vital that both mind and body remain active, daily activities are at the heart of our dementia care.
Respite Care

Respite

Halcyon Care Homes offers short-term respite stays for older people who might not want or need to move in permanently, yet who need some extra help from time to time. Whether they are recovering from surgery or illness, or want to give their family carer a break, short stays can be organised and then repeated as often as they are required.
Any resident on a short break can take part in all daily activities and will receive the same high quality of care that full-time residents enjoy. A short break can also be an opportunity to trial the wonderful facilities we have on offer before deciding to make the move permanent.
