This month England saw COVID restrictions placing us under lockdown once again, Marham House Care Home, decided these restrictions would not stop them being able to provide their residents with an evening of laughter, fun and Autumnal spirit.

On the 6th November 2020, staff at Marham House, encouraged residents to safely watch a wonderful display of fireworks from the tearoom inside. Mulled wine, cinnamon and the smell of gun powder filled the home of Marham House, where residents were in awe and amazement at the production before their very eyes.

Two residents commented “You are all so wonderful, you never do things small, you always make sure events are the biggest and the best for us”.

Operations Director Daniel stated “I knew we had gone big, but even I didn’t expect this! As this was only year one, imagine what next year will bring”.

Due to COVID restrictions, firework displays in the area were stopped from going ahead, this display allowed residents of Marham Park, to watch the display from the safety of their own homes and gardens. We were truly blown away from the sheer amount of positive comments that were posted on Facebook after our display. One person commented “It is our daughters first fireworks, and she has absolutely loved watching them… Thank you to whoever is letting them off”. Another commented “It was so lovely. Our first 5th November here and was so great to see from the window. Thanks to all involved”.

Here at Marham House we hope next year allows us to enjoy these events and festivities with our community.
