Daniel started his journey in social care when he was 17 years old and quickly realised it was his passion. He spent many years at this first home and while there, studied to become a Registered Adult Nurse.
Not long after qualifying, Daniel was recognised by his employer as their Nurse of The Year. In the same year, he was honoured to be a finalist for The Nursing Times’ Rising Star Award.

Daniel’s career path since then has been incredible. He moved to Essex as a Commissioning Deputy Manager and then supported homes through periods of transition. Taking a leap of faith, he then joined a new provider as Deputy Manager. The following year, he was promoted to General Manager and the home was recognised as ‘outstanding’ by the CQC.
As Managing Director, Daniel is now responsible for leading the home teams to ensure the quality of service provided is of the highest standards for all residents. “If the team are treated as individuals then in turn, this will be emulated in the care that they provide. I have enjoyed each step of my journey and look forward to the journey yet to come with Halcyon Care Homes.”
