The Christmas tree is down and in its place is a wishing tree. The wishing tree makes an appearance every January and serves as a place on which to share our hopes and dreams for the coming year.
It is not always easy to think of something to hang on the tree, we are in the fortunate position of having our needs attended to on a daily basis, we realise how lucky we are. The tree’s appearance prompts some very interesting and often frankly hilarious conversations as we each strive to outdo each other on originality.
Last year we asked for simple things such as more family activities and trips out, we were still suffering the effects of the pandemic, visits and trips had been quite restricted throughout some of 2021 and all we really wanted to do was to get back to some semblance of normality. This year we have been able to think a little outside the box with our requests and are looking forward to seeing just how creative our lifestyle manager Steve will be. He’s never let us down in the past, so we have very high hopes that this year is going to be very special indeed.
