If you follow our weekly news stories you will already be aware that we have a fabulous lifestyle team here in Jackie and Georgia. They really do go above and beyond to make our lives at Marham House happy and worthwhile. We think that they are brilliant, and we are lucky to have them.

We never cease to be amazed by their creativity and dedication, nothing is ever done half-heartedly, and just when we think we’ve seen it all they surprise us with something new.

Last week we discovered that it is not only those of us who are fortunate enough to know them that are able to recognise how special they are, word had got out and Jackie had not only been nominated for the Great British Care Awards but had made it through to the regional finals in the category of care home activity coordinator.

The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

Jackie was invited to the very glamourous regional awards ceremony in Peterborough where she had a wonderful evening accompanied by her fellow lifestyle team member Georgia, Daniel Rowark, Managing Director, and Arvind Kumar, Regional Support Manager.

Daniel told us that he was honoured to attend the awards with Jackie and to have the opportunity to celebrate all her hard work and dedication to the residents at Marham House over the last eighteen months.

Jackie, you are a truly amazing member of the Halcyon family, and we are all very proud of you and all that you have achieved.
