Halcyon Care Homes is a relatively new company, having opened our first home in December 2019, however the team behind Halcyon are not new to the industry, in fact they have been handpicked for their respective roles due to their extensive experience within the sector and their reputations for delivering a service that is not only exemplary but forward thinking and innovative.

Years of experience within the care home teaches you much about the needs of residents, of their families and of the teams that care for them. You learn what to look for in a manager and how to support them to manage a happy home.

Halcyon Care Homes have grown at a considerable pace, we currently have 7 homes across the UK, and today we were handed the keys to number 8, Priors Hall care home which opens its doors in December 2021. Our homes are not converted houses, they are purpose built, having been meticulously planned to offer comfort and convenience, they afford those who reside with us access to modern facilities such as a hairdressing salon, tearoom, and library, as well as a beautiful Sky Bar that offers spectacular views of the surrounding area and the community in which we are at the heart.

Our homes have been likened to 5-star hotels and cruise liners, comments we never tire of hearing however whilst the building and décor are important, we consider these as standard, exemplary care is a given, nutritious, tasty food is obvious. You can get all of these in other care homes but what you will not get elsewhere is our passion, our determination to ensure that every one of our residents lives a full and active life in whatever way suits them.

Some of our residents are social butterflies who love to be active in the community, doing their bit and for those people we support them to stay connected. Some of our residents are more introverted and prefer one to one company in the safety and comfort of their room and we ensure that they get it. Our residents cannot be grouped together under one umbrella, they are dancers, they are farmers, they are doctors, they are poets and artists, they are mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers but most of all they are individuals with individual likes and dislikes, wants and needs, their life path has led them to us, but they have all been on very different journeys.

Our ethos is lifestyle choice, we will support the continuation and enjoyment of lifetime hobbies, we may even introduce you to new ones. We will learn as much from you as you will from us, and we will have a lot of fun doing so.
