Who doesn’t love to be pampered? Whether it’s beauty treatments, hairdressing, or manicures, breakfast in bed, a swish afternoon tea or a meal in a nice restaurant, it’s nice to feel spoiled.
At Layston Grove we get to indulge in at least one of these daily. This week we had a fabulous pamper afternoon during which we were treated to hand massages, manicures, and a glass of wine, it was sumptuous.
We all know that having a little bit of time to relax, to do things that you enjoy, to let others spoil you are good for the soul, but even knowing this we never seem to be able to make time in our busy lives. I was guilty of the same before moving here. There always seemed to be something else more important to do; the ironing, the shopping, the housework, the list goes on.
We all know that feeling you have when you leave the hairdressers, you walk taller with a spring in your step, look out world, here I come. The way you feel walking into a nice restaurant dressed in your best clothes and the warm feeling from stepping out of a long bath into a clean robe and snuggling down to watch TV.
We have reached in a point in our lives where we have more time on our hands. Living at Layston Grove means that we do not have to worry about shopping or cooking or cleaning, we have time to spend doing the things that we enjoy, that make us happy.
We had a wonderful time, all together in the salon, chatting and laughing, we sat back, and we relaxed while our hands were massaged, and our nails were filed and once finished we sat down to sandwiches, cakes, and tea. It was a wonderful afternoon and it made us feel happy, relaxed, and happy.
