We are often visited by animals, fluffy bunny rabbits, hedgehogs, lizards, we’ve even had spiders and snakes, but we’ve never had one stay.
This week we have had a lovely lady move in for a spot of respite, we were told to expect a bit of a surprise when she arrived. Imagine how excited we were when we discovered that she was not alone. We have our very first four-legged resident, Tilly.
Tilly is a joy; I have never met such a happy dog. I’m sure that she won’t mind me telling you that she is 13 years old, that makes her 91 in dog years and therefore one of our oldest residents, although you’d never guess that from watching her.
Tilly is very sociable; she is keen to meet everyone and join in with anything that is going on. She loves to walk in the garden and stops to greet every passer-by. Once she has had her exercise, she is very content to snuggle on any vacant lap and have a little sleep.
Having Tilly around is wonderful, animals have an amazing ability to spread joy, whether it is watching her trotting around the garden or seeing her excitement at meeting another new friend, her mere presence makes us happy.
We are all making the most of her and enjoying the time we get to spend with her. She is a very welcome addition to the Marham House family, we are hoping that this is the first of many visits from Tilly and her wonderful owner who is very happy to take a back seat and let Tilly steal the limelight.
