Spring has finally sprung; the sun is out. We live in a beautiful part of the world; we are extremely fortunate to be surrounded by wonderful green spaces and places of interest, places that we are looking forward to visiting in the near future.
Having beautiful surroundings is lovely and receiving the support needed to enjoy them is one of the reasons I have chosen to live here at Glenvale Park. I love spending time outdoors and one of my most favourite thing to do is to spend time in the garden. No hopping on minibuses, no time constraints all it takes is a leisurely stroll outside and you are there, surrounded by like-minded friends just waiting to spend time with you.
The garden is coming along nicely, the flowers have begun to open, the birds are singing, and it has become an oasis of calm.
We get outside as often we can; when I awake and see the sun shining through the gap in the curtains, I know that it’s going to be a good day.
Sunday was a wonderful day, the weather was lovely, and we spent most of the morning outside, enjoying the feeling on the sun on our faces. We haven’t lived here long, and it was good to be able to explore the garden, taking in our surroundings.
After lunch we headed to the tearoom where we spent the afternoon chatting and swapping stories, we indulged in afternoon tea with scones topped with cream and jam, or jam and cream depending on your preference. It was a wonderful day.
There is something about the sunshine that makes everything in life seem better, and when the sun is out, there is no better place to be than our garden.
