On Friday 28th October Overstone House held its Grand Opening event. And what a wonderful day it was.

We have spent the past two weeks taking part in training courses and inductions, familiarising ourselves with the layout of Overstone House and getting to know each other a little better. We have spent lots of time planning and organising and on Friday we were finally ready to open our doors and welcome guest inside.

Our first guest was Councillor Lora Lawman who was kind enough to cut the ribbon and declare Overstone Park officially open. We had invited local families along and they began arriving throughout the day, The children came dressed in their Halloween costumes, and settled down in our cinema to watch a movie whilst the adults took a stroll around the home. We did enjoy their reactions as we showed them the facilities on offer. We are extremely proud to be part of such a wonderful care home and are looking forward to meeting all those who will soon call Overstone House home.
