Rob has been a fan of Nottingham Forest his whole life, a proud season ticket holder, he never missed a home game. Keith used to referee, much of his life has revolved around the beautiful game and both gentlemen have some wonderful stories that the team here never tire of hearing.
Any football fan will know how enthusiastic people are about the game, how loyal they are to their team. They will understand the euphoria of witnessing the winning goal, the genuine sadness of a missed penalty.
On Sunday Rob’s beloved Notts Forest were playing Leicester City, Rob donned his cherished Notts Forest shirt, and he and Keith took their seats in front of the television and waited for the game to start. It was a great game and their enthusiasm for the battle playing out on the screen was infectious. By half time the whole room was hooked and rooting for our home team.
The 90 minutes flew by way too quickly, but Notts Forest were triumphant, winning the game 4-1. Leicester City are a talented team, so this was a brilliant win for us. Rob and Keith were over the moon.
Our gentleman have missed the thrill of live games, football stadiums have been off limits for some time and whilst televised matches are enjoyable there is no substitute for watching from the stands.
We will be taking a trip out to watch a live game very soon. We will let you know how it goes.
