This weekend we were invited to take part in a community initiative to plant trees around the new Glenvale Park estate. It was a wonderful opportunity to be part of a community event and to leave our legacy.
When we were invited to take part, we jumped at the chance. We have been observing the estate taking shape around us and watching it become home to many, the new trees will provide the perfect vista for residents and visitors.
We were very lucky with the weather, June can be an unpredictable month weather wise, but the sun was shining when we grabbed our jackets to begin our day of planting.
It was so well organised, and we had the pleasure to meet some wonderful people, all looking to do their bit for the community. We had so much fun, out in the sun, laughing and chatting. It was wonderful.
The trees were planted in direct view of Glenvale Park, it will be just lovely to watch them grow and mature from our window. A tree is a wonderful legacy, they are not only beautiful to look at, but they are essential to our planet’s delicate ecosystem. So not only have we had a fabulous time, but we have made new friends, improved the landscape, and made a small contribution towards the environment, not bad a legacy to leave behind.
