This week our history club transported us to Greece, and we had a marvellous time. We spent the morning learning about the Ancient Greeks and the contributions that they made to philosophy, mathematics, astronomy, and medicine. Literature and theatre were extremely important to the Greeks and this aspect of their culture has had a strong influence on our modern drama. It was a fascinating morning.
After lunch we were visited by our very own Greek goddess and we even had a visit from Medusa. We tasted a variety of Greek cuisine which was delicious. The sun was shining, everyone was in good spirits, the food, and the music, set the scene perfectly, we almost felt like we were there.
We spent the evening reminiscing about our own adventures in Greece, sharing stories of long hot days and Greek brandy. It was a truly fabulous day.
