At Canterbury House we celebrate everything, from national days to holidays and birthdays to anniversaries, we do not miss an opportunity to celebrate all of the things that make life wonderful.

This week we were so honoured to be able to put on a special celebration for a wonderful couple celebrating 68 years of marriage. Married in 1954 just as rationing was coming to an end, they have witnessed many changes, 14 prime ministers have come and gone, we’ve been into space and walked on the moon, the average UK house price has risen from £2530 to £278,000, so much has changed but their love has remained constant.

We could not let this wonderful occasion pass by without organising something very special.

The team here at Canterbury House pulled out all the stops to create an intimate restaurant experience, dinner for two at the Casa Canterbury House. The table was dressed, the menu designed, and the music cued. Everything was set for a wonderful anniversary meal.

The evening was a remarkable success; helping people to celebrate special occasions such as this one, is a wonderful part of our role here at Canterbury House, we relish every opportunity to make someone smile and to make life the best that it can be.
