Spring has finally sprung; the sun is out. We live in a beautiful part of the world; we are extremely fortunate to be surrounded by wonderful green spaces and places of interest. The city of Canterbury is close by with its quaint shops and splendid cathedral and we them explore often.
Having beautiful surroundings is lovely and receiving the support needed to enjoy them is one of my favourite things about living here however my most favourite thing to do is to spend time in our garden. No hopping on minibuses, no time constraints all it takes is a leisurely stroll outside and you are there, surrounded by like-minded friends just waiting to spend time with you.
The garden is coming along nicely, the flowers have begun to open, the birds are singing, and it has become an oasis of calm.
We get outside whenever we can; when I awake and see the sun shining through the gap in the curtains, I know that it’s going to be a good day.
All of the activities we usually do indoors become outdoor pursuits, we play games, we take part in quizzes, and we sing, we sing at the tops of our voices, just because we can.
In the afternoons we take tea in the sun, tea, coffee, cakes, and pastries, sometimes we forgo the tea and open a bottle of sparkling wine or a cold beer.
There is something about the sunshine that makes everything in life seem better, and when the sun is out, there is no better place to be than our garden.
