You cannot turn on the television without hearing about the cost of living crisis affecting everyone at the moment, things are tough for so many people right now. Our residents are very fortunate that they are not feeling the pinch in the same way as so many others, but this doesn’t deter them from wanting to help, to do their bit in any way that they can.
After much discussion we have set up our own Hazel End foodbank donation collection point, requesting that any visitors who can spare an item or two drop them into reception ready for us to pass on to those in need.
It is so important that people come together to support each other in times of crisis, many of our residents remember times of great hardship and they got through them together, sharing what they had. They want to do the same now.
We have all been through so much over the past few years, lived through circumstances that we could never have imagined, and recovery is going to take time, but if we all do our bit to help, we will get there a lot quicker. If you would like to donate any items for our local foodbank, please do drop them into Hazel End, we would be delighted to pass them on for you.
