On Good Friday, the 10th of April 2020, residents and staff of Hazel End Care Home were touched by the kind generosity of local Fish and Chip shop “Dali” located on Station Road in Bishops Stortford, who provided Fish and Chips for all residents and staff. This kind gesture demonstrated the amazing sense of community and coming together during COVID19 crisis.
As a result of the lovely dinner provided, residents at Hazel End were able to celebrate ‘Good Friday’ in style. Fish and Chips with a glass of wine whilst soaking up the sun on the balcony and for the rest of the weekend, the fun continued. Easter Egg Hunts, (plenty of chocolate), Karaoke, Card Games, Cinema afternoons, and delicious food.
Although residents couldn’t be with their loved ones this Easter, it was a weekend full of activities and fun. These hard times will come to an end soon, and loved ones will be together again, until then Hazel End hopes everyone Stays Safe and Stays Home.
