There has been a magic in the air this week at Hazel End. There is something special about December, the frosty mornings, the cosy evenings, the sound of carols and Slade around the home.
We will be indulging in festive activities for the foreseeable, eating lots of mince pies and drinking plenty of Baileys and the odd Snowball. We have lots lined up to really make the most of this festive month.
This week we began putting up the decorations, it’s quite a feat to decorate this house, it isn’t small. We have three trees to dress. Following the decorating we needed a sit down, so we chose to relax with some Christmas art.
There is something very therapeutic about colouring, trying to stay inside the lines. We were having so much fun the managing director asked to join in. I have to say, he took it very seriously. He is obviously artistically inclined, he certainly knew about watercolours and showed us a couple of great techniques.
We have so much lined up for this month, we’ll be baking, decorating, making cards and shopping. We’ll keep you updated on our endeavours. But for now, I’m off for a Baileys in the Sky bar with my friends, we’ve earned it.
