The Chinese New Year is the most important festival in China and fell on February 12th, 2021. This year, China is celebrating the year of the Ox. The Ox denotes the hard work, positivity and honesty that will be manifested in all of us in the coming 12 months.
At Hazel End Care Home staff and residents turned their home into a Chinese spectacular with decorations, lanterns, Chinese food, and music. Our residents spent the day trying Chinese delicacies donated by Mayflower Chinese in Stansted and learning about Chinese culture whilst taking part in trivia quizzes.
Georgia lifestyle co-ordinator commented “This was an excellent, fun filled day for everyone involved.”
Well-being is extremely important to us here at Hazel End. It means our residents are experiencing overall feelings of happiness and satisfaction with life. It is achieved by being able to do all the things that please you. At Hazel End Care Home, we work hard to enhance well-being. Our dedicated lifestyle team work together with each resident to find out about what they like and don’t like, as well as what they need in order to feel physically active and mentally stimulated. From this we can design lifestyle programmes which met the wants and needs of each individual resident.
Although we are unable to offer full tours at this present time, we can offer socially distanced visits. To book your visit or to find out more information about our facilities or care provided please call 01279 925388 or email info@halcyoncarehomes.co.uk
