It’s definitely beginning to feel a lot like Christmas, the temperature has plummeted, and we have never been more grateful for underfloor heating. Overstone House is looking stunning, the decorations are reminiscent of something you would see in a plush hotel or a Christmas movie.

The whole place looks magical but what people can’t see is the magic going on beneath the surface, the lights that are twinkling on the trees are all powered by solar energy, the oven full of mince pies is too. We use no gas and even generate enough power to give some back to the grid.

We are so proud of everything on offer here, the modern surroundings, the delicious food and the passion demonstrated by the team; the fact that we can boast about our green credentials is the icing on the cake.

Maybe we’ll get a little something extra from Santa this year for our contribution to reducing climate change, we just hope that he doesn’t land his sleigh on our solar panels.
