We are very proud of our garden, it is beautiful, full of plants and flowers, it’s a wonderful spot. We spend as much time as possible out there, taking part in activities, exercising, relaxing, partying and, of course, gardening.
As a team we have worked hard to make the space the very best that it can be, and we love to show it off at every opportunity.
This week we received a visit from the Bury in Bloom team, they came to have a look at the progress that we have made since their last visit. They were very impressed, and we were delighted to receive their glowing feedback. It’s always nice to receive a bit of praise isn’t it.
We had a lovely time with our guests, we showed them around and chatted about other gardens that they have visited, they gave us advice and joined us for a cup of tea and a slice of cake.
You may recall that we were awarded a certificate last year, well we received another this week, we are literally bursting with pride.
Many of us enjoy gardening, gardening is usually quite a solitary pastime, but not here, here we all muck in and help each other, it’s a wonderful way to spend an afternoon and unlike when gardening at home, when we finally sit down for a well earned rest a cup of tea miraculously appears in front of us.
We shall continue to work on our garden, we are currently fundraising for a summer house which we hope to have in place for next summer. We have hung our certificate next to last year’s. Can we make it three years in a row? We’re pretty confident that we can.
