Wellingborough Museum is right on our doorstep, and it is the perfect setting for a stroll down memory lane.
This week Kelly and Velma paid a visit and were blown away by the vast array of memorabilia on display. Velma has lived in Wellingborough all her life and for her it was an extremely poignant and emotive trip.
From the zoo to the schools and factories, there was so much to see, so much to take in. The museum team were brilliant, taking time to chat with Velma and to listen to her stories; they were fascinated by her tales of Wellingborough. After a long afternoon wandering through the exhibitions, it was time to make a stop at the museum café for a well-earned rest and a slice of cake. This museum is a real treasure trove, and definitely worth a visit.
