The weather has taken a rather autumnal turn this week and reminded us that summer is over, and that the winter is coming. I enjoy the changing of the seasons, and welcome everything that they bring.
We have spent a lot of time outside this summer, the weather has been glorious, and our garden certainly sparkled in the sun’s rays but now our garden is beginning to take on a new persona, the bright flowers and green leaves are being replaced by the reds and golds of the season and it is beautiful to watch its transformation.
This week, as we watched the trees begin to shed their leaves, we took on the task of preparing our garden for the coming months.
We had a lovely, but messy time, creating beautiful hanging baskets full of colour to adorn the outside of the building. We joined forces to line the baskets and fill them with compost and then we selected pretty flowers of yellow, pink, and purple and arranged them carefully. We were very proud of our handy work, hanging in pride of place, they make a wonderful addition to our home, even if we do say so ourselves.
