At Layston Grove we have been enjoying the recent warmer weather, getting outside as often as we can. As usual the summer has been a little temperamental and has been a little wetter than we’d have liked, however we have taken full advantage of the drier days and have enjoyed some time outside.
Summer is always a wonderful season here at Layston, the longer days and the warmer temperatures offer up opportunities to spend time in our garden or to visit local places, it’s wonderful. This week we took a trip to our favourite tearoom, the Rosy Lea Tearooms at Wickham Hall, it really is such a lovely spot to relax with friends and sample their delicious cakes.
As you get older, it becomes more difficult to do the things you enjoy, and that is one of the benefits of living here at Layston; we have people on hand to help us to take part in the things we love, and plenty of friends to do them with.
This week the weather has had a decidedly autumnal feel to it, however summer is not over yet, and we are keeping our fingers crossed for the return of the sunshine and more opportunities to get out and about and enjoy the great outdoors.
